5 Ways to Change Your Energy To Changes Your Life

“For most people, the greatest good they could do for themselves is to change their energy.” reports Deepak Chopra

Nothing can happen in this wondrous world without energy.  Energy is that certain something inside of everything that makes things happen. For anything to happen there always has to be an energy conversion or change.  A transfer from one type of energy to another type — like from chemical to mechanical, or potential to kinetic or from one place to another.  But it is not just energy. Energy can sit around doing nothing for a long time, like in a battery. Nothing will happen until the “waiting” potential energy gets changed into another form of energy.  It is energy moving from one place to another place, or energy being changed from one type of energy into another type of energy, that makes things happen.

Why do we get stuck? One reason people resist change is because they focus on what they have to give up, instead of what they have to gain. It takes courage to let go of the familiar and embrace the new. Change on a deep level requires awareness and commitment. Do you want a life change? If you want something you have never had, then you have to do something you have never done. You can change, but you must be in the driver’s seat to do so. Personal development involves mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth that allows a person to live a productive and satisfying life within the customs and regulations of their society. Change on a deep level requires awareness and commitment. But there is no pill or magic carpet that takes you from here to there as quickly as you can envision all that’s possible. You have to choose it.

Change your emotions. Emotions are made of energy. From happiness to fear, anxiety to jealousy, emotions are powerful forces that sometimes cloud the mind and make it hard to think clearly.  In Eastern energy practices, the emotions are seen as something to rise above and experience with an observer’s mind rather than become actively involved in. This does not mean we should emotionally detach from ourselves or others, rather it is about knowing how to manage the waves of emotions and recognizing that emotions are not you, but yours. Meditation teaches techniques to live beyond emotion and maintain inner peace and mental clarity when involved in an emotionally charged situation. Riding the waves of your emotions is difficult at first, but with mindful practice and self-acceptance, it will become easy.

Be less attached to the outcome. This will allow you to stop worrying about the “how”.  When I look to manifest something in my life I know that it is more than just intention and focused thoughts and that I must put action behind my intentions and thoughts. But I also know that I cannot get caught up in minute details of how it will happen. I have had some amazing things manifest in my life and I could never in a million years have ever imagined it would come together or work out the way it did.

Build your positive energy muscle day by day with affirmations. Words are powerful and the way we talk to ourselves is incredibly important because what we think, we become. Repetition and enthusiasm are essential in the success of positive affirmations. Say them from the heart, and feel them in your body, every day!

These positive affirmations will send love letters in the form of energy to your body and ignite your inner healing power. Say them twice daily, while looking into your eyes in the mirror or during a quiet moment when you’re alone. * I have the power to heal myself.  * I am deeply relaxed and at ease.  * Wonderful people and opportunities enter my life everyday.

Making changes to your environment is one of the easiest things you can do to transform your energy. We are creatures of habit which means we become accustomed to having certain things in our space, our lives. Without realizing it we attach memories to and trap energy within, colors, smells, images, sounds, lightness & darkness to in our environment. Get yourself brand new throw pillows you love, or paint the walls, bring in fresh flowers, play a completely new kind of music, or even just move your furniture around and most of all declutter. By making changes to your living environment you change the energy flow through out your home and you create a disconnect that allows your brain to start rewiring your emotions.

Change your location. Sure, sometimes it might mean moving to a new job or apartment, but it doesn’t have to be a big to-do!  Start taking the peaceful, scenic route home from work. Maybe instead of heading straight home, you stop off at the gym, a coffee shop or a friend’s house. Instead of shopping at the same grocery store, mix it up and hit a different brand name. By physically changing your location, you open your senses up to new experiences, smells, sights and sounds. Again, being creatures of habit, we tend to fall into routines that keep us stuck in a cycle. By changing things up, you are forced to create new experiences, meet new people, see new things and, most importantly, get out of your routine! When you disrupt your mindless routines, you start to open up. Opening up helps you to release old energy and attract new, positive energy.

This is about more than just “thinking happy thoughts,” though I highly recommend you practice positive thinking. It is about creating the space and opportunity for new ideas and growth. Growth forces us to release limiting beliefs and try out new ways of thinking, being and processing our world.

Enjoy!

  1. Some great tips! I do think the power of your environment is quite important too, and always feel more refreshed and energised when I’ve cleaned, moved around furniture, made a few changes etc.
